ATLANTIC YARDS DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP

The underlying goal of Atlantic Yards Development Workshop was to create an open dialogue of culturally and economically potent development strategies for the Atlantic Yards rail site through a collaborative process involving local residents, government officials, designers, and developers.

The Inaugural event took place on March 20, 2004 at the Hanson Place Central United Methodist Church in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Urban designers, architects, and landscape architects from around the New York area sat down with members of the community and public officials for a daylong session of brainstorming and guest speakers.
